1953 Studebaker Roadster Hot Rod

This is a 1953 Studebaker T-bucket style roadster street rod. It was made from left over 1953 Studebaker parts car and parts left over from a 53 Studebaker that owner built. This vehicle uses all 53 Studebaker body panels except for the motorcycle fenders and rear panel. Even the windshield and posts are from a 53 Studebaker along with the dash and instrument panel.

The frame is 2" X 3" tubing with late model stock car front end and Woodward rack and pinion steering. Four QA1 six way adjustable coil overs, four wheel Wilwood disc brakes and a Franklin quick change rear was used. Engine is a 1958 Chevy 283 rebuilt and bored to 301 with performance cam, Edelbrock intake and carburetor and the owner made the headers. Transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 350 with shift kit. The quick change has 2:32 gears which yield 21 miles per gallon. This Studebaker Street Rod is painted pearl black base coat, clear coat.
